Terms and Conditions of Firehouse K9 Academy, LLC:
Effective Date: July 15, 2025
Commitment to Training Excellence
By enrolling in training services with Firehouse K9 Academy, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Our goal is to provide clear expectations, ensure safety, and deliver the highest level of training results possible.
1. No Guarantees
Dog training is not an exact science. Results depend on consistency, environment, and owner follow-through.
Firehouse K9 Academy makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes. We provide the tools, guidance, and structure—but success ultimately depends on the owner’s commitment to applying the training.
2. Owner Responsibility
You agree to:
- Follow all training instructions provided
- Practice consistently between sessions
- Maintain control of your dog at all times
- Use recommended training tools appropriately
Failure to follow through may limit results and does not qualify for refunds.
3. Disclosure of Behavior & Health
You must fully disclose any known or suspected behavioral issues, including:
- Aggression (toward people or animals)
- Bite history
- Anxiety or fear-based behaviors
- Medical conditions that may impact training
Failure to disclose this information may result in immediate termination of services without refund and releases Firehouse K9 Academy from liability.
4. Safety & Liability
You understand and acknowledge:
- Dog training involves inherent risks, including bites or injury
- You assume full responsibility for your dog’s behavior at all times
Firehouse K9 Academy, its trainers, and affiliates are not liable for:
- Injuries to people or other animals caused by your dog
- Property damage caused by your dog
- Incidents occurring outside of structured training sessions
5. Equipment & Tools
We may recommend or require the use of specific training tools (e.g., leashes, collars, e-collars, prong collars).
By participating, you acknowledge:
- These tools are safe when used properly
- You agree to use them as instructed
- Misuse of tools is your responsibility
6. Payment & Refund Policy
- Payment is due as agreed prior to or at the start of services
- All sales are final unless otherwise stated in writing
- No refunds will be issued for completed sessions or lack of owner participation
If a program is discontinued by Firehouse K9 Academy for safety or compliance reasons, any refund will be issued at our sole discretion.
7. Scheduling & Cancellations
- Appointments must be scheduled in advance
- A minimum of [24-hour] notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling
- Missed sessions or late cancellations may be forfeited without refund
8. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
Firehouse K9 Academy reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time for reasons including but not limited to:
- Safety concerns
- Aggressive or dangerous dogs beyond disclosed information
- Owner non-compliance
- Inappropriate or disrespectful behavior
9. Media Release
You grant permission for Firehouse K9 Academy to use photos or videos of your dog for marketing, training, and promotional purposes.
*You may opt out by providing written notice.
10. Training Environment
You acknowledge that:
- Dogs may be trained in various environments with real-world distractions
- Exposure to other dogs, people, and stimuli is part of the training process
All reasonable precautions are taken to ensure safety.
11. Hold Harmless Agreement
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Firehouse K9 Academy, its trainers, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your dog’s behavior or your participation in training.
12. Agreement Acknowledgment
By participating in training services, you confirm that:
- You have read and understand this agreement
- You agree to all terms and conditions
- You accept full responsibility for your dog and its actions
